We would also like to make a contribution in developing countries. In the West there is a great deal of knowledge and experience of breeding insects, but so far not many people eat them. In many developing countries insects are regularly eaten, but they are hardly ever bred.

Through breeding insects in developing countries we see opportunities to enrich diets lacking in protein. This can be done on a very small scale allowing families, for example, to produce their own protein at home.

To establish viable projects we work closely with partners in the field.

Bas Godschalk of Insectsforall will be happy to discuss with you the added value of breeding insects for development projects.
